A Brief History. An Exciting Future.

The first Baptist congregation in Scandinavia began with the baptism of eleven new converts on the 30th of October 1839 right here in Copenhagen. That same group would later become the first recognized free church (not supported by the state) to be established in Denmark.

In that tradition, FIBC exists not only as a free church but also as a representation of how the Gospel has borne fruit in the nations of the world. Our worship services every Sunday are in English and the congregation gathers throughout the week in numerous small group meetings. You can learn more about the ministries at FIBC on our Ministries Page.
